UEFA Euro 2008 Contest Rules

ENTRY IN THIS CONTEST CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF THE GENERAL AND THESE OFFICIAL RULES (See General Rules)

Deadline

The deadline ("TERMINAL DATE") for registering and entering submissions for the contest is June 7th, 2008 at 12:00 PM (Pacific Daylight Time).

How to play

STEP 1

Select 2 teams in each group, these being the Winners and the Runner-ups of the first round, totaling 8 picks. Selections for every group are required. Submit your picks to continue to STEP 2. Once submitted these picks can not be changed.

STEP 2

The picks in STEP 1 automatically fill the bracket's first column, which represents the Quarter-finals match ups. As you select the winners for the Quarter-final games, your picks become available as choices for the SemiFinals winners, and these as choices for the Final game. For example selecting Austria in the 1st Round will make it available as a choice in the Quarter-finals winner column. Picking this team as a winner for the QuarterFinal game makes it available as a SemiFinal winner and so on. A selection for every game is required. Once all choices have been filled, simply click on the SUBMIT PICKS button below. All submitted picks are final.

The Bracket

Once the bracket has been submitted, the contestant is officially participating. Submitted brackets are final. First Round and Bracket picks cannot be changed once they have been submitted and requests to make changes to a submitted bracket will be ignored.

Only one entry per person, household or IP address is allowed, so make sure of your choices before submitting your picks. Additional entries by the same individual, household or IP address will disqualify ALL entries from that person or household. The checks will only be made out to the registered account owner and sent to the address listed on the account. Taxes are the responsibility of the winners.

Games will be graded and the bracket results updated at the end of each round.

Point System

The Point System is as follows :

• 1st Round
  Pick Winner of each Group = 5 pts each
  Pick 2nd Place (runner-up) of each Group = 3 pts each

• Quarter-finals (2nd Round) = 7 pts

• Semi-finals (3rd Round) = 10 pts

• Championship Game = 15 pts

Prize

The contestant with the highest point total will receive the following prize:

• $500 Cash or $1,000 Betting Script*

Contestants with active ABCIslands.com or JazzSports.com accounts** will receive both, the $500 Cash AND the $1,000 Betting Script.

Prize Structure

The prize winner will be determined by the cumulative total of points scored at the end of the UEFA Euro Contest. In the event of a tie up to five (5) contestants will evenly split the prize. In the case of a six (6) or more way tie a lottery will be held to randomly select one (1) contestant as the winner. It is the responsibility of the entrant to keep all mailing and E-mail information up-to-date and accurate. By accepting a prize, the winner grants Bracketcontest.com and/or it's sponsors the use of names, photographs, and other info for publicity and promotional purposes without further compensation.

IMPORTANT:

Due to BracketContest.com being a FREE contest provider, all winners are required to claim their prizes by e-mailing us within 15 days of the UEFA Euro Final Game's ending time. Failure to comply with this rule within this time period will result in disqualification.

In case of a tie where the prize is split between multiple contestants and the amount awarded to each is less than $50, the prize will be donated to a local charity organizations.
