How to Play the Gridiron GiveAway Contest

Registration

Please follow the process below to get successfully registered:

• Click on the REGISTRATION link displayed at the top of the page to enter our registration form.
• Then you must select a username and password, after that you have to fill the blank spaces with the information is going to be requested from you, for example: your full name, address and location, zip, phone number(s), birth date and a valid Email address. DPT Sports Group Players must submit their account code to be eligible for the 'Special Customer Prizes'.
• Clicking on the SUBMIT button you complete the registration process.

Playing the Contest

Once you have completed the Registration process successfully, you will be allowed to play as soon as the contest is open.

• Click on the 'Log In' option in the Gridiron GiveAway Contest page and provide your username and password.
• Once you have Logged In the contest, now you are ready to play keeping always in mind the rules we have for this contest.

Gridiron GiveAway is a contest that takes place during the NFL REGULAR-SEASON 2008 and the NCAA 2008 games, the big challenge of this contest is to gain or to accumulate as many points as you can every week to get to the end of the contest with the biggest amount of points in order to win the Great Prizes we are offering for this NFL REGULAR-SEASON 2008 and NCAA games.

• The contestant has to choose a winner team (including pointspread) for all 15 games chosen by JazzSports (10 NFL games, 5 NCAAFB games) weekly
• Every matchups point spread will end in a ½ point, so there will be no possibility of a tie.
• If the team the contestant chose wins, the contestant gains one(1) point, if the team loses, the contestant DOES NOT gain points. Losses will not be scored against you
• This is an internet contest and all registrations and entries must be submitted via this website and using the correct form.
• The contestant can get registered along the contest.
• Once a game has started none of the teams playing that game CAN NOT BE chosen by the contestant.
• The contestant can choose any team during the week ONLY if the game that team is going to play has not started yet.
• NFL REGULAR-SEASON 2008 starts Thursday, September 04th and ends Sunday, December 28th.
• A "Week" for the contest's purposes begins on Tuesday and ends the following Monday.
• Games of the week will be made available for selection every Tuesday at 2PM (Pacific Time).
• Once submitted these selections cannot be changed.

Point Spread

The Handicapper's Challenge uses the game's Point Spread to determine if the selected game's team wins. Below is a description of a Point Spread: A push for contest purpose is considered a loss.

Definition: Used to even the odds of a particular sporting event. Each team has points either added to its score, or subtracted from its score, to determine if the bet is a winner.

Example: Suppose the point spread is set at 7 for the Patriots vs. Eagles, and the Patriots are favored so they will be listed with a -7. The Eagles will be listed with a +7. If you bet on the Patriots, then you do not win this bet since after deducting 7 points from the Patriots final score, it would appear that the Eagles won. If the Patriots won by more than 7 points, then you would win his bet.

Group Play

Players who so desire can play the contest using a feature called "Group Play", which offers a simple way to track points and standings of friends during the contest. Group Play allows you to:

Compare the standings of the other members to your own
See the placement in the contest by Groups

Players will be able to check their point totals by logging into their accounts, as well as checking their standings in the contest. Point totals will be updated after every game has officially ended. Points are non-transferable.

** An active member account is defined as having funds and having played at least $50 on four of the previous eight days. There must be funds in the account equal to the amount of the match play.
