Sports Markets and InstaParlay Guide
Pre-match markets, parlays, teasers and InstaParlay
What is the BracketContest sports section?
The BracketContest sports section offers pre-match sports selections using Bracket Contest Points (BCP). Players can choose moneylines, point spreads and totals, build parlays and teasers, or use InstaParlay to find moneyline parlays that match their settings. All transactions use BCP.
The platform covers all sports, with available events and markets determined by the current schedule. Only pre-match games are offered. There are no player props or live wagering, and alternative lines are limited.
What is InstaParlay?
InstaParlay is a parlay discovery game that presents moneyline parlays matching the player’s chosen number of teams, sports and BCP risk. Rather than assembling every combination manually, set your requirements and review the matching parlays presented by the system. Choose the ones you want to play.
InstaParlay uses moneyline selections only. It does not build point-spread or totals parlays. The displayed “win” is the total BCP return, including the original risk, rather than winnings alone.
How to use InstaParlay
- Choose how many teams you want in the parlay.
- Choose the sports to include.
- Set the BCP amount you want to risk.
- Review all parlays the system presents that meet those requirements.
- Select the matching parlays you want, check the teams, events, BCP risk and displayed win, and confirm your selections before the applicable games begin.
The available combinations depend on the listed events and markets. A matching parlay is an option to review, not a prediction or guarantee that its selections will win. Check the terms of each parlay before confirming it.
Example of an InstaParlay search
Suppose you choose three teams, football and basketball, and a risk of 20 BCP. InstaParlay presents moneyline parlays meeting those settings. Review the combinations and select the ones you want. Each parlay’s displayed return reflects its own selections and terms; matching the same filters does not mean every parlay has the same return.
The values above are illustrative, not minimums or maximums. Use the options and BCP amounts available in the interface.
Moneylines, point spreads and totals
Moneyline
A moneyline selection backs an outcome listed for the event without applying a point handicap. Review the market to see the available outcomes and grading period. A moneyline price determines the return for a successful selection; it does not guarantee the result.
Point spread
A point spread adjusts the result for grading. For example, a team listed at −3½ must win by at least four points to cover. A team listed at +3½ covers if it wins or loses by three points or fewer. Use the actual market rules for settlement.
Total
A total selection predicts whether the combined score will be over or under the listed number. For example, an over 45½ selection wins if the applicable combined score is at least 46. The event and market rules determine which scoring period counts.
Limited alternative lines
Alternative lines may be available for selected markets, but the range is limited. Check the listed options rather than assuming every event offers alternative spreads or totals.
Pre-match sports only
Selections are offered before the game begins. BracketContest does not offer live wagering or player props in this sports section. Check the event start time and market availability before submitting a selection.
Do not confuse pre-match availability with the period used to grade a market. Regulation time, overtime and other settlement conditions are determined by the sport and specific market rules.
Individual selections and standard parlays
Players can make individual selections and build standard parlays from available markets, subject to the combinations permitted by the interface. A parlay combines selections into one ticket, with its result depending on those selections under the applicable settlement rules.
A losing selection makes the parlay lose. Pushes, ties and void selections are handled under the sports rules, and may affect the remaining ticket and return. Read those rules rather than assuming that every tied result is handled the same way in every sport.
How InstaParlay differs from a standard parlay
With a standard parlay, players assemble their selections from the available markets. InstaParlay instead starts with the number of teams, sports and BCP risk, then presents matching moneyline parlays to choose from. Both use the applicable sports settlement rules, with no consolation payouts.
Understanding BCP risk and displayed win
All sports transactions are in BCP. “Risk” is the BCP amount committed to a selection or ticket. The amount displayed as “win” is the total return if the ticket wins under its stated terms, including the original BCP risk.
If you risk 20 BCP and the displayed win is 100 BCP, a full winning settlement returns 100 BCP in total. That consists of 80 BCP in winnings plus the original 20 BCP risk. It is not 100 BCP plus another 20 BCP. This is an example only; use the actual ticket’s terms.
Returns can change when settlement rules require recalculation for a void or other affected selection. Review the settled ticket and rules for the final result.
Sports settlement rules
Sports selections, parlays, teasers and InstaParlay follow the applicable sports and market rules. These rules are available in the sports section. They govern the grading period, official results, ties, pushes, postponed or cancelled games and ticket recalculation.
There are no consolation payouts. A losing ticket does not receive a reduced prize simply because some selections won. This differs from SportsLotto, where eligible tickets can have loss-based consolation payouts.
Sports compared with other BracketContest games
Sports play uses BCP risk and market-specific return terms. InstaParlay helps find matching moneyline parlays. SportsLotto generates tickets from different player settings and has its own consolation rules. Pick’em accumulates points from selections to determine standings. Do not apply one game’s rules to another.
Review before confirming a ticket
- Check the teams, sport, event date and market.
- Check the BCP risk and remember that displayed win means total return.
- Review the grading period and any sport-specific conditions.
- For parlays and teasers, inspect every selection and the applicable settlement rules.
- Confirm only after reviewing the ticket. A larger potential return is not a guarantee of a prize.
