Welcome to the BracketContest Contest Guides, your starting point for learning how our different sports contests work.
Whether you enjoy building tournament brackets, making weekly football picks, surviving one game at a time, following the numbers on a Squares grid, bidding in a Calcutta auction, or revealing players in Pick, Spin, Win, these guides explain what you need to know before you play.
Each Contest Guide provides information about how the contest works, important rules, scoring or winning methods, contest formats, and what players can expect when participating.
Choose a contest below to get started.
Build Your Bracket. Pick Your Champion.
Bracket contests challenge players to predict how a tournament will unfold from the opening rounds through the championship.
Make your selections, predict which teams or competitors will advance, choose your champion, and earn points as tournament results become official.
Our Bracket Contest Guide explains how brackets work, scoring, ties, tournament strategy, and popular bracket events such as March Madness.
Make Your Picks. Follow the Games.
Pick'em contests challenge players to predict the winners or required outcomes from a group of sporting events.
Make your selections before the contest deadline, follow the games, earn points for correct picks, and see where you finish on the leaderboard.
Our Pick'em Contest Guide explains how Pick'em contests work, how selections are made, scoring, contest formats, and important rules.
Make Your Pick. Survive. Keep Playing.
Survivor contests challenge players to make qualifying football selections and remain alive from one contest period to the next.
BracketContest can offer different Survivor formats, including use-a-team-once, repeat-team, and Against the Spread Survivor contests.
Survivor contests are primarily offered for NFL football and selected college football conferences.
Our Survivor Guide explains the different formats, elimination rules, selections, and how Survivor contests work from beginning to end.
Get Your Squares. Wait for the Numbers. Follow the Score.
Squares contests turn the score of a sporting event into a simple contest that's easy to follow.
Depending on the contest, players can choose available squares or have squares randomly assigned.
The numbers for each team are drawn after the game begins, meaning players don't know which number combinations their squares will receive when they enter.
Then follow the score and see whether the numbers land on your square.
Our Squares Guide explains square selection, random assignment, number drawing, winning periods, and how prizes are determined.
Bid on Teams, Competitors & Outcomes.
Calcutta contests combine sports knowledge with an online auction.
Players compete to acquire teams, competitors, or eligible outcomes and then follow those entries throughout the sporting event, tournament, or season.
BracketContest Calcutta auctions can feature proxy bidding, direct bidding, and overtime bidding designed to give players an opportunity to respond to late bids.
Calcutta contests can be adapted for events including football, golf, fishing, horse racing, tournaments, and other competitions.
Our Calcutta Guide explains the auction process, bidding, proxy bids, overtime bidding, prize pools, and different Calcutta formats.
Reveal Every Player. Spin the Wheel. Multiply Your Score.
Pick, Spin, Win combines player performance, daily player-card reveals, and an interactive scoring multiplier.
Players return on each required contest day to reveal their player cards. Complete all required reveals to unlock the wheel, spin for a multiplier, and apply that multiplier to your combined player statistics.
Don't miss a required reveal: players who fail to reveal a required player card are not eligible to spin the wheel for that contest.
Our Pick, Spin, Win Guide explains player reveals, statistics, multipliers, scoring, eligibility, and the wheel.
