Super Bowl Squares

The classic game-day grid, played online.

Super Bowl Squares is the party game of football's biggest day: a 10x10 grid, two teams and the last digit of each team's score.

BracketContest runs Squares contests on NFL games during the season. When the Super Bowl Squares contest opens, you will find it in the Squares lobby, with its grid, entry and payout table shown before you join.

How Super Bowl Squares Work

  1. Get your squares

Choose open squares or have them assigned at random, depending on the contest.

  2. The numbers are drawn after kickoff

The digits 0 to 9 are assigned to each side of the grid at random after the game begins, so nobody knows their numbers when they enter.

  3. Follow the score

At the end of each period, take the last digit of each team's total score. The square where those digits meet wins that period.

  4. Win more than once

The same square can win more than one period. Each period is settled on its own.

A Quick Example

For example

Team A leads 7-3 after the first quarter and 17-10 at halftime.

1st quarter: 7 and 3

Halftime: 7 and 0

Halftime uses the total score of 17-10, not the points scored in the second quarter.

Payouts and Overtime

Unless a contest shows a different table before entry, the net prize pool is split across four checkpoints: the end of the first quarter, halftime, the end of the third quarter and the final score.

Overtime does not add a checkpoint. The final prize uses the official final score, including overtime.

Super Bowl Squares FAQ

How do Super Bowl Squares work?

Each square on a 10x10 grid matches one pair of digits. At the end of each period, the last digit of each team's total score points to the winning square.

When are the numbers drawn?

After the game begins, at the time shown on the contest page. Nobody knows their numbers when they enter.

Can one square win more than once?

Yes. The same square can win several periods, and its owner gets each of those prizes.

Does overtime count?

Overtime does not create an extra checkpoint, but the final prize uses the official final score after overtime.

When does the Super Bowl Squares contest open?

It appears in the Squares lobby ahead of the game. Squares contests on other NFL games run during the season.

What do I play for?

Entries and prizes are in BCP, Bracket Contest Points. BCP are points to play with on BracketContest: they have no cash value and cannot be redeemed.
