Custom tickets, Quick Picks and BCP payouts

What is SportsLotto?

SportsLotto combines straight-up sports selections into a ticket generated by the software from a player’s choices. Choose the number of teams, the BCP risk amount and the amount you would like to win. You can also filter by sport and time. The software selects the teams based on those choices.

SportsLotto — the excitement of sports with the high paying rewards of lotto.

SportsLotto operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, subject to the available event schedule. Tickets use Bracket Contest Points (BCP), and prizes are awarded in BCP. There is no limit on the number of tickets a player may obtain.

How does SportsLotto work?

  1. Choose a custom ticket or a Quick Pick.
  2. For a custom ticket, choose the number of teams, the BCP risk and the amount you would like to win. Apply sport and time filters as desired.
  3. Let the software select the teams based on your choices. Review the generated ticket and its BCP terms before obtaining it.
  4. Follow the straight-up results of the games on the ticket.
  5. The ticket is settled using the results, with recalculation for no-action games and eligible consolation outcomes.

Custom SportsLotto tickets

Custom tickets let you set the number of teams, the BCP amount to risk and your desired winnings. The software uses those choices to generate the team selections. Sport and time filters help narrow the available events.

A custom ticket is generated from your settings rather than requiring you to manually build every team selection. Review the actual ticket, selected events and displayed terms; a desired win amount is not a guaranteed prize.

Quick Pick tickets

Quick Picks are four-team tickets that pay roughly 20/1. They are presorted by sport, US-only events or time period, so you can browse a grouping and obtain a generated ticket. All selections are straight up.

The approximate 20/1 description is not a promise that every ticket has the same payout. Check the actual ticket amount and terms. No-action games can also change the settled payout.

What does straight up mean?

A straight-up selection is based on whether the selected team wins its game. SportsLotto does not use a point spread for these selections. A team does not need to cover a handicap, but it must meet the ticket’s win requirement.

A tied game is no action and the ticket is recalculated. Certain larger tickets can also qualify for a consolation payout despite a limited number of losses. A tie and a loss therefore affect settlement differently.

BCP risk, winnings and total payout

The ticket cost is the BCP amount risked. A winning payout includes the winnings plus the original ticket cost. Both the risk and the payout are in BCP.

Example of a 20-to-1 ticket

A ticket risking 10 BCP at 20/1 earns 200 BCP in winnings if it qualifies for the full payout. Add the 10 BCP ticket cost for a total return of 210 BCP. This example assumes no no-action recalculation or consolation discount.

Use the actual ticket terms for settlement. A consolation amount is not displayed before purchase and can differ from the full winning payout.

Ticket generation. The software selects the teams based on the player’s settings. Custom settings include team count, risk, desired winnings and sport or time filters.

Quick Picks. Four-team tickets paying roughly 20/1, presorted by sport, US-only events or time period.

Selections. All games are straight up.

BCP. Tickets use BCP, and all prizes are in BCP. A winning total return includes the winnings and ticket cost.

Ticket limit. There is no limit on the number of tickets a player may obtain.

Availability. SportsLotto operates 24/7 using available events.

No action. Tied games and games not played are no action. The ticket is recalculated using its remaining active picks.

Consolation. Eligibility depends on active pick count and losses, not the original number of picks.

All no action. If all selections become no action, the ticket’s BCP cost is returned.

Tied, cancelled and unplayed games

A tied game is no action. A cancelled game or other game not played is also no action. No-action selections are removed from the active pick count and the ticket is recalculated. They are not treated as losses.

For example, if a six-pick ticket has one no-action selection, five active picks remain. The ticket is recalculated on that basis. Because consolation starts at six active picks, that ticket no longer qualifies for a one-loss consolation payout.

If every game on the ticket is no action, the full BCP ticket cost is returned. For a postponed event, consult the ticket rules and status for when the event is classified as not played or no action.

How SportsLotto consolation payouts work

Some tickets can receive a consolation payout despite losses. Eligibility is determined by the number of active picks after no-action selections are excluded:

  • Fewer than six active picks: no loss allowance for consolation.
  • Six through ten active picks: eligible for consolation with one loss.
  • Eleven or more active picks: eligible for consolation with up to two losses.

For an eligible ticket, the software recalculates the ticket using the winning teams and applies a discount based on the number of losses. The consolation amount is not displayed before purchase. It is not a fixed percentage of the original displayed payout stated on this page.

Example: one loss with six active picks

A ticket with six active selections, five winners and one loss qualifies for consolation. The software recalculates using the five winning teams and applies the one-loss discount. The exact BCP amount depends on that calculation.

Example: two losses with eleven active picks

A ticket with eleven active selections, nine winners and two losses qualifies for consolation. The software recalculates using the winning teams and applies the two-loss discount.

Example: no action changes eligibility

An eleven-pick ticket with one no-action game has ten active picks. It is eligible for a consolation payout with one loss, but not two. Always assess the active count after no-action games are excluded.

Understanding your ticket before participating

Review the selected teams, events, BCP risk and displayed payout before obtaining a ticket. Check how no-action results and losses can change settlement. Quick Picks have four teams, so they do not meet the six-active-pick threshold for a loss-based consolation payout.

A higher potential reward does not make a ticket certain to win. Each ticket depends on the selected teams’ results. Obtaining more tickets uses additional BCP and does not guarantee a prize.

SportsLotto compared with Pick’em

SportsLotto uses generated team selections and ticket-specific BCP risk and payout terms. No-action and consolation rules affect ticket settlement. Pick’em generally awards points for correct selections and uses accumulated scores to determine standings and prizes. The two formats have different scoring and settlement rules.
